To attend EMPSEB 31 (8-12 June, 2026), you must be a PhD student at the time of the conference. We prioritise students who did not attend the previous edition of EMPSEB (EMPSEB 30).

All participants are to present their work as a short, 10-12-minute talk with a slideshow presentation. In addition, participants are encouraged to present their work as a traditional poster or as a creative alternative presentation. There will be prizes for best performance in all three categories!

The registration fee is €500. This fee covers the participants' stay at the AHORN Hotel for the duration of the meeting, most meals (including breakfasts, lunches, tea breaks, and dinners), and shuttle bus.

ESEB is offering our participants the Conference Travel Award 2026 for underrepresented nationalities and the The Congress Attendance Aid (CAA) Grant for minorities in science to support their travel expenses! NEW!Società Italiana di Biologia Evoluzionistica (SIBE) or the Italian Society for Evolutionary Biology offers ONE of their member students a grant worth €500 for joining EMPSEB 31!
