The European Meeting for PhD students in Evolutionary Biology (EMPSEB) is a student-led annual meeting that brings together passionate PhD researchers from around the world to share ideas, present cutting-edge science and build lasting collaborations. Since 1995, EMPSEB has been a cornerstone event empowering the next generation of evolutionary biologists.

The upcoming edition, EMPSEB 31, will take place at the Ahorn Hotel am Fichtelberg in Oberwiesenthal, Germany, from the 8th to 12th of June, 2026.
